In continuation of celebration of the 74th Republic Day at the Gandhi Maidan, Bongaigaon field on 26th January, 2023, a friendly cricket match was held to commemorate the occassion.The match between DC Bongaigaon XI vs Press Club XI was held in the presence of Sri Nabadeep Pathak, ACS, Deputy Commissioner, Bongaigaon and other dignitaries and local citizens.The match ended in a nail biting finish with DC Bongaigaon XI winning the trophy on the last ball. The Deputy Commissioner, Bongaigaon felicitated both the teams and encouraged everyone present to maintain the sporting culture by organising such matches often.
